Scarsdale, New York ↔ Manhattan
From your door in Scarsdale to the exact address in the city — and home again. Flat rates, no surge pricing, Greenwich-based since 2007.
Local Service
Getting from Scarsdale to a Manhattan address on time, with your bags and your evening intact, is the whole job — and we have been doing it for years. Evening trips are popular: dinner in the city, a show, and a ride home without checking the train schedule.
Scarsdale has one of the faster express runs to Grand Central, yet many residents still prefer a car when the destination is far from 42nd Street.
From Scarsdale we can use the Bronx River Parkway or the Hutch, and pick the faster one at departure time.
Getting There
The drive from Scarsdale to Midtown Manhattan is about 23 mi and normally takes 40 min – 1 hr 5 min. From Scarsdale we typically start on the Hutchinson River Parkway or the Bronx River Parkway.
Central Westchester sits between the Bronx River Parkway and the Hutch, which feed the Major Deegan, the Harlem River Drive and the FDR. Bridge and parkway closures are checked the night before, so an overnight lane closure does not surprise anyone in the morning.
Around Scarsdale
Scarsdale's village center around the station, Fox Meadow, Greenacres, Quaker Ridge and Heathcote are all regular pickup areas for us.
Scarsdale families book us for school concerts, college visits and medical appointments on the Upper East Side.
When you book, add anything the chauffeur should know — a gate code, a side entrance, a dog in the yard, a child's car seat — and it will be on the trip sheet.
Your Options
| Metro-North | Synergy car | |
|---|---|---|
| Start | A ride or a parking spot at Scarsdale on the Harlem Line | Car waiting in your driveway |
| End | 42nd Street, then walk, cab or subway | Curbside at your destination |
| Group of 3–4 | Tickets for everyone plus parking | One fare covers everyone |
| Late return | Hourly trains late at night | Leaves when you do |
| Bags & children | Up and down platform stairs | In the trunk the whole way |
We are not trying to replace Metro-North for daily commuting. We are the better option for the trips where the train adds steps: luggage, children, late nights and addresses far from the terminal.
Traffic Guide
| Leaving Scarsdale | Typical time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Early morning (before 6:30 am) | 40 min | Lightest traffic of the day |
| Between the rushes | 50 min | Generally smooth |
| Peak commute | 55 min – 1 hr 5 min | Slowest window toward the city |
| After work | 50 min | Return trips take longer than this |
| After the dinner hour | 40 min | Fast, with occasional overnight roadwork |
Friday evenings and the days before holidays run longer than the table shows, while summer Sunday mornings are among the quickest drives of the week.
Calendar
December brings the holiday windows, the Rockefeller Center tree and heavy Midtown traffic; we allow extra time for Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue drop-offs.
Thanksgiving week, the Macy's parade and New Year's Eve each close large parts of Midtown; book early and we will plan the drop-off around the closures.
Reasons to Ride
Roadshows and client visits often mean three or four stops in the city. One chauffeur, one car, no hailing between buildings.
Galas, weddings and benefits in Manhattan often run late and involve formal wear. We drop at the entrance and are waiting when it ends.
Parents use us for Manhattan school and university trips — move-in days, performances, graduations — when a car is the only practical way to carry everything.
In the City
Good to Know
Coming home is half the trip. You can book the return in advance with a set time, or keep the car on an hourly basis and leave when you are ready.
Tell us the number of passengers and bags when you book. Sedans take up to three riders, SUVs up to seven, and we will suggest a Sprinter for anything larger.
There is no meter and no surge: the booking page shows one flat price, tolls in, before you confirm.
